Do Your Own Business
“AND that ye study to be quiet and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands,” “that ye may walk honestly towards them that are without; and that ye may have lack of nothing” (1 Thes. 4:11, 12).

A major difference between Baal worship in the church today and true worship in the church today is that Baal worship holds fast to the belief that it is your faith plus your good works that saves you, while the gospel teaches that it is the faith of Jesus that does the good works - even the obeying of the 10 Commandments. Faith must ALWAYS precede works since it is faith itself that produces the works.
Jennifer Schwirzer has penned more than just a poem, it is truth expressed from the heart of one who has been touched with a heartfelt appreciation for the cross and the cost of our salvation. Only the eyes of faith could see through the clutter of traditional beliefs and into the depths of God demonstrating His love for the world. Thank you Jennifer for sharing this, Daniel Peters

All who believe in Christ are sealed with the Holy Spirit, which is called the Holy Spirit of promise, because it is the surety of the promised inheritance.
We see the mystery of the Gospel to be the mystery of creation.
We have redemption through His blood; the preaching of the cross is the preaching of the power of God; and the power of God is the power that creates; therefore the cross of Christ has in it creative power.
The preaching of Christ and Him crucified is the preaching of the power of God, and therefore it is the preaching of the Gospel, for the Gospel is the power of God.
He who implanted that desire is the only one who can satisfy it. God is manifested in Christ, and Christ is indeed “the desire of all nations” (Haggai 2:7), although there are so few who will believe that in Him alone is there perfect rest and satisfaction.
“Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10, 11).
